In House Training:

MMTA continually develops new, low-cost workshops and seminars for our members, who get substantial discounts on registration fees. Topics include safety compliance, drug and alcohol testing, hours of service, cargo securement, and hazardous materials regulations.

Compliance Seminar
Make sure your company is in compliance with the various federal and state motor carrier safety regulations. This seminar covers the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), federal and state roadside inspections, drug and alcohol testing, and safety review procedures. All attendees receive a management edition of the FMCSRs.

Cost: $75 for MMTA members, $125 for non-members

 Drug & Alcohol Training

DOT regulations require ALL supervisors of drivers to be trained in drug and alcohol testing rules. This seminar meets all DOT training requirements! It includes all materials and covers pertinent rules such as: how to make a reasonable suspicion judgment, developing company policies, responding to positive tests, return-to-duty procedures and SAP requirements.

On-Site Safety Audits
Will you be ready when DOT’s auditors come knocking on your door? FMCSA annually fines motor carriers thousands of dollars for non-compliance. Don’t wait for the authorities to visit to find out if you’re in compliance! Have MMTA Vice President of Safety Craig Talbott come to your facility and conduct a DOT safety audit. Craig will give you with a confidential report documenting your company’s compliance with the various federal and state regulations. Craig’s experience as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Training Officer for the Maryland State Police has given him a unique insight into the audit trail that inspectors follow.

Cost: $75 per hour/3 hour minimum. (You will be invoiced based on the time of the audit. Typical audits last a few hours).
On-Site Safety Training
