Maryland Movers Council

Intermodal Council

Trucks provide the lifeblood for the Port of Baltimore.  Companies that operate trucks at the Port—called "intermodal" operations—work in a highly specialized environment.  All too often, the concerns of truckers at the Port have been drowned out by the larger rail and maritime interests.

To change this, MMTA formed the Intermodal Council.  Today the Council is a respected and powerful player at the Port.  In addition to regular networking and educational opportunities for its members, the Council acts as a problem-solver and negotiator for its members, working behind the scenes with the Maryland Port Administration to resolve intermodal trucking issues.

The Council holds regular dinner meetings throughout the year.  Membership is free to members of the Maryland Motor Truck Association who are engaged in intermodal operations.

Council Chair:

Armand Patella, Picorp
